Auntie Buys: Ava's Primark Haul

The other day I was in Primark and picked up a few bits for Ava. I didn't see anything nice for Bella and to be honest I am not a huge fan of Primark for baby clothes/sizes. I don't like buying for one and not the other but I wasn't going to just pick up something for the sake of it. Sizes are hard to tell in Primark even for ladies clothes so its abit of a guess and defiantly depends on the item itself. I got either 3/4 years or 4/5 years old... So here is what I got for my beautiful Niece Ava Lily..

Minions Pink Top/4 to 5 years old - £4
I'm not a huge fan of character tops to be honest but I had to pick this up for Ava as she loves Minions lately and they had other minions tops but this one was the best out of them all.

L O V E WHITE T SHIRT/4 to 5 years - £1.20
I saw that their basic logo t shirts where reduce to £1.20 I had a look and stupidly there was only two in Ava's Size. I loved this one though as it can be worn with a pair of skinny jeans and converses and that an easy outfit to put on.

MINT J'ADORE PARIS DOG T SHIRTS/4 to 5 years old - £1.20
This one is my fave! It looks more green on picture but it's a really nice Mint and I love the French vibe going on. If you ask Beth or my Mother, they would agree when I say I am obsessed with French themed items and even gone far as buying Bella a Eiffel Tower Bodysuit few months ago haha.

TWO BEACH THEMED NIGHTDRESSES/3 to 4 years old - £5
I saw these for £5 for both which I thought was a good price to be honest as they can be quite pricey. The white one has sandcastles shells lollipops dogs beach balls all over it which I thought was cute. The other one is a hot pink colour with a girl holding an kite. Ava wears nightdresses well and prefers them to normal pj's. I got her a Cinderella and a Frozen Elsa one recently and she gets so much wear out of them.

DOC MCSTUFFINS KNICKERS/3 to 4 years old - £3.50
Ava has gotten into Doc McStuffins lately which has meant every single Doc McStuffins item I see I have to purchased!! Sorry Beth and Tommy hahah!!! I'm sure Ava doesn't need anymore knickers, infact I know she doesn't as I did purchased her loads over the past month hahaha but still Ava will love these.

So that is what I got for Ava. As I said before, I think Primark have got abit meh with their kids/babies clothing lately but sometimes they have a few good bits. I did get some stuff for myself which I didn't even think of doing an blog haul so maybe next time I shall do a haul for myself?

A Primark Bargin

I don't know about you but I have terrible trouble when painting my own nails. With hair I'm gifted but nails just no. I would rather get a set of acrylics white tips and not have to worry. Whereas Katie is a godsend with nails when she is down I will always take advantage and get her to paint my nails up really nicely.

The thing is I will paint my nails make them look half decent but I'm a bugger for smudging them!  There will always be one that will just not seem to dry. So I was in Primark the other week, and I came across a nail polish fast dry spray and tbh I didn't think it was going to be much good but I thought with my luck with nails it was worth giving it a go! When I painted my nails after purchase I sprayed on this spray It actually worked!

For those of you that are like me I would deffo get down to your nearest Primark and buy this it will improve your luck with nail painting for sure! And you ain't heard the best bit yet, this nail drying spray will not set you back too much it costs just £0.80p!! This is suitable for just any budget.

A nail drying spray that actually works pricing in at just 80p is deffo a bargin who says beauty costs...

Primark P.S. Love Your Hair : Moisturising Range

It's usually Beth who does the hair post as she is a hairdresser and out of us both she knows her hair stuff and I don't have a clue when it come to hair. But few weeks ago when I was in Primark in Lakeside I purchased these two as I wanted to try something new as I've been using TRESemme shampoo and conditioner for along time so fancied a change. What appealed me to this ones from primark was that both contained Moroccan Argan Oil and Keratin which I thought might be good for my hair. Although I haven't had my hair coloured since September 2013, I did start having it coloured since I was 13 and to make matters worse Im natural Blonde who had it coloured Dark Brown for years then Jet Black so it's fair to say my hair is damaged. Even though I've had nearly a two year break with no colour as I wanted to go medium brown naturally, I can still tell its damaged and dry from the colouring. My hair is very long so washing it is a massive effort to be honest but luckily I only wash it once/twice a week as it doesn't really get badly greasy.

So yesterday I tried these Primark moisturing Shampoo and condition and I'm very impressed. The shampoo claimed to cleanse, restore and moisturises the hair which I have to say it does, you don't need a lot of the product which helps as I've got long hair and it felt clean and very soft. Then I applied the conditioner which claimed to help improve shine, locks moisturiser in leaving a silky soft touch and like the shampoo the products goes along way. I like to use my conditioner more as a mask so I do leave it on longer that I would if I was quickly washing hair. Once I rinsed off I instantly felt like my hair was more healthy and it felt so smooth. I leave my hair to dry naturally when I can but I apply an oil to the ends of my hair when it's damp. My hair did look really shiny not the greasy look, it looked like I've hair washed my hair with high end products so I'm really impressed.

What I loved most apart from the price tag is that the scent, it's not too overpowering but it does leave a nice fresh scent to the hair. The P.S. Love You Hair range was rather varied and there was a Brunette range I would like to try. I think Primark are doing really well with their beauty products this year. Me and Beth got one of their Lipstick Gloss in Red and it's amazing so I would defiantly recommend this hair shampoo and conditioner. I'm going to pick this up for Beth when I'm in Primark next to see if she likes it and shares the same opinon.

I might do more beauty related posts  in the future what do you think? Also has any of you tried this range or any of the other ranges from Primark? Did you like or hate? Let me know :)

Primark sizes!

So today we had a lovely day. Katie and Shelly both came to Essex from Windsor to spend the day with us:). It's was a great day and both Ava and Bella loved seeing nanny and auntie Katie.

Both my mum and Shelly bought Ava some clothes from primark. She recieved two lovely cardigans, both sized 3-4 years. When I saw them one of them seemed considerably smaller than the other so I measured them against each other and found one of them was smaller...

YES believe it or not these are BOTH supposed to be the same size. How ridiculous. I hear many people say on primark does come up smaller ect. But seriously you don't think how much! This does indeed confirm the fact primark has no size gide. Infact I believe they slap any size on anything. If you didn't know you would think that ones a 3-4 and the other is 4-5 or it was a 2-3 and 3-4. When buying your clothes my advice would be to try on the item as you could be buying a size or two bigger or smaller than you actually are!

Another thing that I have found increasingly annoying about the shop is the lack of newborn baby clothe range they have. They only have a few outfits to fit a newborn! Rather annoying as you need a lot of clothes for a newborn and a lot of people would thrive on buying a basket full of clothes for a new baby I know I would!  I've also found that there are inconsistency with the clothes you can get in stores some stores do different clothes to others as my mother in law bought Bella some lovely outfits that I have not seen in any primark stores here where I live.

I've never had any problem with primark and I will still shop there. But as I've got older and had children I have come to realise now a lot of their floors unfortunately. I don't want to or like to highlight their faults but I have to be honest about my findings since shopping there recently. I would give a little advice to primark also.. If you are going to up your prices don't let the standard or quality slip...
