Auntie Buys: Ava's Primark Haul

The other day I was in Primark and picked up a few bits for Ava. I didn't see anything nice for Bella and to be honest I am not a huge fan of Primark for baby clothes/sizes. I don't like buying for one and not the other but I wasn't going to just pick up something for the sake of it. Sizes are hard to tell in Primark even for ladies clothes so its abit of a guess and defiantly depends on the item itself. I got either 3/4 years or 4/5 years old... So here is what I got for my beautiful Niece Ava Lily..

Minions Pink Top/4 to 5 years old - £4
I'm not a huge fan of character tops to be honest but I had to pick this up for Ava as she loves Minions lately and they had other minions tops but this one was the best out of them all.

L O V E WHITE T SHIRT/4 to 5 years - £1.20
I saw that their basic logo t shirts where reduce to £1.20 I had a look and stupidly there was only two in Ava's Size. I loved this one though as it can be worn with a pair of skinny jeans and converses and that an easy outfit to put on.

MINT J'ADORE PARIS DOG T SHIRTS/4 to 5 years old - £1.20
This one is my fave! It looks more green on picture but it's a really nice Mint and I love the French vibe going on. If you ask Beth or my Mother, they would agree when I say I am obsessed with French themed items and even gone far as buying Bella a Eiffel Tower Bodysuit few months ago haha.

TWO BEACH THEMED NIGHTDRESSES/3 to 4 years old - £5
I saw these for £5 for both which I thought was a good price to be honest as they can be quite pricey. The white one has sandcastles shells lollipops dogs beach balls all over it which I thought was cute. The other one is a hot pink colour with a girl holding an kite. Ava wears nightdresses well and prefers them to normal pj's. I got her a Cinderella and a Frozen Elsa one recently and she gets so much wear out of them.

DOC MCSTUFFINS KNICKERS/3 to 4 years old - £3.50
Ava has gotten into Doc McStuffins lately which has meant every single Doc McStuffins item I see I have to purchased!! Sorry Beth and Tommy hahah!!! I'm sure Ava doesn't need anymore knickers, infact I know she doesn't as I did purchased her loads over the past month hahaha but still Ava will love these.

So that is what I got for Ava. As I said before, I think Primark have got abit meh with their kids/babies clothing lately but sometimes they have a few good bits. I did get some stuff for myself which I didn't even think of doing an blog haul so maybe next time I shall do a haul for myself?

Aunties Buys: H&M Sale

H&M is becoming my favorite shops to buy the girls clothes from. Not only is the price good but the quality of the clothes are lovely. My local H&M is in Windsor and it is a nice medium sized one and there is always a sale area in the children/babies department. Even if there isn't anything in the sales, their clothes are still amazing price. I have gotten alot of summer dresses, tops and leggings from here for the girls this summer and I do prefer it from Primark and Asda. I think H&M do basic stuff well and also do some lovely patterns. The only problem is that they do don't any matching items in both of the girls sizes which is abit annoying as I do love to buy them matching clothes. For Bella I get her 4 months to 6 months in dresses/tops or 3/6 months and for Ava I get 4 years to 6 years size. If I see something in the sale that is a bigger size, I might buy and save it til the girls eventually fit in that size.

Light Grey Cardigan was £3 from £5.99 and I thought this colour is unusual and an essential item. I got 4-6months, but I think it might be abit too big for Bella as she is a tiny petite baby for her age. I thought even if it is big for Bella now, it will fit her in few weeks/month time which will be when the weather gets colder so this is a well needed item.

T'res Cool Baby - Now I can't find this online so I'm guessing they have sold out. This little bargain was £3 from £14.99, which is amazing. It has a baby suit thingie underneath so this will be such a cute outfit. As before I got 4-6months and this one does seems like it should fit.

Leopard Print Trainers - Online these say they are £5 from £7.99 but I got these for £4 which I thought were are bloody bargain. Not something I would pick up for Ava to be honest but they don't have any laces to do up, instead it has a Velcro tab to do the trainer up. Ave is very independent and tries to do everything herself so I thought these trainers were a good idea for her as she will be able to put these on herself. Now I'm not sure Tommy will like these as he is a very fussy person when it comes to what his girls wear haha!! I can just see Ava in skinny jeans, a cool t shirt and these and her sunglasses, she will look beautiful.

That is my mini H&M sale items I picked up. I also got a top for myself which was also in the sale. They had alot of good sale items at the mo, So I would recommend going to your local H&M store or going online but I have heard alot that the delivery  takes forever but it might of changed. Have any of you gotten any sale items from H&M? I personally will be getting some autumn/winter clothes when it comes out and I do like their clothes for my nieces and myself.

Hospital Bag - Day Surgery

Having quite a fair few operations in my lifetime has meant I now what exactly what I need and don't need to pack for day surgery. Saying that I always take things I don't use just to be safe as you never know if they decide you have to stay in and I think it makes you feel better knowing you have stuff you might need if that makes sense. I just have a rule that I always get new pajamas and slippers for every operation I have purely because I like them to be clean and totally new. My operation in few days I haven't gotten new items as my last one was weeks ago but they have been cleaned washed and not been used since. So here is my checklist of what I pack into my hospital bag for a day surgery. Obviously if your staying it would be totally different but this is just a basic general idea of what to pack anyways...

CLOTHES

  • Dressing Gown
  • Pajamas/Nightdress
  • Day Clothes/Causal
  • Slippers (I prefer ballerina type ones)
  • Underwear and Socks
TOILETRIES BAG
  • Toothbrush/Tooth Paste
  • Shower gel/Shampoo/Conditioner (Always save sample sizes for this)
  • My Cleanser with a Flannel
  • Deodorant/A Fragrant Spray
  • Hairbrush and Hairbands
  • Baby wipes (Hate them for my face but if needs be I will use)
  • Hand Cream (Soap & Glory one)
MAKE UP BAG
Can I just say I never intent to even put make up on but incase I stay in longer ect
  • Concealer
  • Brow Gel
  • Mirror
  • Vaseline/Lip Balm
  • Eyelash Curlers
  • Powder

RANDOM
  • BOTTLE OF WATER (THIS IS IMPORTANT)
  • Notebook and Pen
  • Phone Charger
  • My Medication
  • Small Amount Of Money (Car Park or the Shop you never know)
  • Magazine/Book (Although I never end up reading)
  • List of Previous Health Problems/Medication (Trust me sometimes they never have it on their notes and when they ask I never remember)
  • My Diary

And that is it I think. It does sound like a bag you would pack for an overnight in a hotel doesn't it haha but you would be surprise how much you use from that list. On the day I wear jeggings/leggings, a loose top, my coat and Converse which honestly are so important as you feel so tired and weird from the op that when you go home you need comfort in converse when walking to the car. obviously gloves, scarfs  and hat as it is FREEZING. I manage to squeeze all of this into an Louis Vuitton bag which comes with an matching make up type bag so its ideal (this was given to me) I defo wouldn't never afford this haha) kind of similar to this link here. Also used a BIG weekend bags you get from Primark which are only £3/£5 and do this job just as well. I'm sure I will throw in more stuff just as I'm leaving the door haha and I take things I don't but its like a safety thing I get from packing stuff just incase. Is there anything you would or wouldn't pack or have any good tips to pack an hospital bag?

Pregnancy Clothing Dilemmas

I am sure many pregnant women out there will agree that dressing yourself during pregnancy can be difficult can be a nightmare especially if your on a budget.

Magic of pregnancy

In some ways you can call pregnancy magic! The rate your bump grows is amazing, one minute you look a bit podged, you blink and the next thing you know you've got a great big stomach. I noticed this a lot when putting on items of clothing. I find I dig out a top and it will look really nice on, I will put it on a week later and it wont go over my ever growing bump! This can result in a breeze across my midriff, its a good job I notice and change my top before leaving the house! ha ha.

My Wardrobe

I have noticed that due to my uterus growing in size my wardrobe begun to shrink. This has made my outfits repetitive. More than the usual 'repetitive'. I tend to feel that I never look and different. The thing is with my partner being laid of work twice through my pregnancy we have been on a budget so I cant really go out and buy myself a new wardrobe. Thankfully my partner is now in consistent work.

Maternity Clothes

Alot of people may be saying why don't you buy some  nice new maternity clothes which should fit you the whole way through your pregnancy. The problem with this is that maternity wear is so expensive, over priced when you think about it. You don't even wear them for a year, apart from the few that continue to wear them after, in which I believe is a good idea. The problem is being on a budget, which a lot of parents are its just not possible to afford maternity wear especially when you already have children, you prefer to see clothes going to them. They also grow so quick at my little ones age  they need new clothes. Having a baby on the way you also need to buy new clothing plus prams and accessories which don't come cheap. Give me the question maternity clothes or things for the baby? I will say things for baby all the the time.

Things bought for Ava and Bella

Katie

I owe a lot to Katie to be honest. She has helped me out so much during my pregnancy lending me items of clothing to see me through. including tops, leggings and even shoes to match! Thank you Katie!.

The thing I've learnt is that you tend to make the most of what you have make as many outfits as you can out of the clothes that you own as when you live on a budget you don't have the option of new clothes. I think of my self as lucky as I have been privileged to borrow clothes off of Katie and they are things I'm able to put with different things to make different outfits. I don't want to complain about something like clothing as Baby Bella is totally worth it, and so what I am low on clothes, in the end I'm going to have a gorgeous little baby and that is all I can think about.

Hope you enjoyed

Lots Of Love

Beth...xxx
